A TIME FOR FAMILY TRADITIONS
Our Mom, Joyce, used to say that a house is only a home when it is full! My brothers and I must have taken this to heart as the three of us are avid entertainers!
I generally have about 120 people flow through the house on Christmas Eve, a smaller crowd for Christmas Day and then our big Sparkes Family gathering on Boxing Day is close to 40.
Clearly, this is not the year for our family to gather as we have in the past and we are all scaling back to a close knit circle to enjoy the holidays. It will be different but perhaps this quiet season will give us the chance to reflect and count our many blessings.
For us, we are blessed to live in a safe and healthy province with lots of freedom and wide open spaces. As a hotel company, we are blessed to have so many valued customers, a terrific team who come wholeheartedly to work each day and a little to spare to ensure our community is taken care of.
At the start of the pandemic, I encouraged everyone to sprinkle kindness like confetti, we have done just that. I am extremely grateful and proud that we have helped so many through this period and will continue to assist where we can.
I encourage each of you to think of others too, as we welcome a new year and new opportunities.
Best wishes from our family to yours for a memorable holiday season filled with everything that brings you Joy.
